Watch Tom Cairney bizarrely pull down his shorts in frustration after shooting a ball over the bar in Fulham defeat
TOM CAIRNEY was so frustrated with his own wayward shot on goal that he bizarrely pulled his shorts down.
The midfielder blazed over the bar in Fulham’s 4-1 home loss to Newcastle.
And then he angrily pulled his shorts down momentarily, before quickly pulling them back up.
Cairney and Fulham’s frustrations began after just EIGHT minutes when Nathaniel Chalobah was sent off.
The former Chelsea midfielder was given his first Premier League start to the season by boss Marco Silva.
But it quickly took a disastrous turn.
With less than eight minutes on the clock, Chalobah challenged Sean Longstaff.
The 27-year-old grabbed the Toon star high on the shin but only received a yellow card initially.
Following a VAR check, however, the card’s color has been upgraded to red.
Fulham boss Marco Silva then slammed officials for the decision.

He said: “We had a game until the sixth or eighth minute, after which it was a completely different game.
“It was a hard tackle from Nathaniel at the time. The referee was clear, for him [it was] a yellow card, he told me.
“Of course, after Mike Dean’s decision, it completely changed everything.
“So much time to make a decision like that and advise the referee [to change his mind] for me it is strange.
“Of course it was a hard tackle, but I’m 100 per cent sure that I didn’t see any consistency in those kinds of situations.
“I’m 100% sure that in the next few weeks we will see more tackles like that and they will be a yellow card. It’s hard for us to understand.”
